Using custom modules for award application forms
A call for applications — an incubator intake, an accelerator batch, a funding call, an award — usually ends up in a separate form tool, with the answers in a mailbox and the attachments on a shared drive. On LoftOS it is a custom module instead. The module's own entry creation flow is the form, every submission lands as an entry, the files sit on that entry, and the review happens on the same platform the applicants are already members of. This is how the Niedersachsen.next innovation network runs the application phase of the Lower Saxony Innovation Award. The award is the state's highest honour for technological innovation and is held under the patronage of Lower Saxony's Ministry of Economic Affairs and Ministry of Science. The steps below come from this setup, but none of them are limited to an award.

Real-time Editorial Request tracking with a Kanban board & AI agents
The client wanted a board where they could manage editorial requests in one place. A user submits an article, the editorial team reviews it before it goes live on their partnered newspaper website. They change the status of the request — letting the user know in real time exactly where their submission stands. The module runs as a kanban board tied to an "Editorial Status" attribute with eight stages (Draft → Submitted → Under Review → Revisions Required → Approved → Sent for Publication → Published, plus Not Selected). Editors drag each card to the next stage, and an AI agent automatically notifies the submitter every time the status changes.
Automating Platform Operations with AI Agents
As communities grow, many administrative tasks become repetitive and time-consuming—from onboarding new members to assigning roles and notifying teams about important updates. Several LoftOS customers are already using AI Agents to automate these workflows, improve user experiences, and reduce manual effort.
Platform commercialization and ROI with LoftOS
From community hub to revenue stream A vibrant community is valuable – but it only becomes sustainable with a well-thought-out monetization strategy. LoftOS offers platform operators and community managers three key levers that can be flexibly combined. Packages: Tiered memberships as a revenue basis The package feature allows you to define membership levels such as "Starter," "Premium," or "Partner," each unlocking different access rights and features. Basic users gain access to core functions, while paying members use exclusive modules or premium content. Free starter packages serve as a strategic tool for lead generation and gradual conversion. Assignment is granular, either at the user or organizational level. Ads: Advertising revenue directly on the platform The integrated ads function allows for targeted advertising. Partners or sponsors can promote content and gain additional visibility – opening up another revenue stream for operators. The advantage: ads integrate seamlessly into the platform and reach a highly relevant target group without any wasted impressions. Check-out: Sell services and products directly In addition, LoftOS offers a checkout function that allows products and services to be sold directly – whether event tickets, consulting services, or digital products. The seamless Stripe integration ensures a smooth payment process. Members can book and pay without leaving the platform. This reduces abandonment rates and increases revenue per user.

Building a B2B Marketplace with Thirstyzone
Thirstyzone built a marketplace platform where brand owners can publish their products and sell them directly to importers. Instead of managing sales manually, the entire purchasing process is handled directly on the platform—including online payments via Stripe. This creates a streamlined buying experience while enabling scalable marketplace operations.
Role-Based Dashboards for Different User Types
wisawi, part of the Saxony Economic Development (Wirtschaftsförderung Sachsen), created tailored dashboards for different user types to guide users directly to the most relevant services and content. Instead of using one generic feed, each user group (e.g. startups, partners, corporates) gets a custom entry page designed around their specific needs and use cases. This improves navigation, user experience, and overall platform engagement.
